David Farrer Well spotted but I removed this bit from the wall myself! It was on either the first or second Saturday after the wall came down. I saw an ad in the Evening Standard for a day trip from Gatwick and decided to go on the spur of the moment. At the airport on the way back the security guy frisked me and felt a lump in my pocket. "What's that?" he asked. Knowing about twenty words of German I replied, "Die Mauer." He laughed and said, "Good. Take it all away."

Sean, I got it from the Adam Smith Institute in London.
ReplyDeleteI think they had them for sale but I was given mine in exchange for taking some photos of what became the site of the Adam Smith statue in Edinburgh.
