The Principal of Aberdeen University says that
graduates should donate more to their colleges. Students at the
Open University pay a higher proportion of the cost of their education than do those attending "conventional" universities and the lecturers know this. Perhaps that is why the
OU comes in at
ninth position in terms of teaching quality in a survey of 100 British universities.
