According to Stewart, the suicidally insane American target of a 450,000 man Afghan military will take 15 years and will, as surely as Scotland is socialist, be the cause of endless subcontinental strife.
The world will be rid of this Quixotic interventionism when China rules. A giant, Confucian, business - friendly Singapore - style bastion of anti - liberalism might well be China's future role and we smay be confident that the pragmatic and sensible Chinese will not waste their taxpayers' money on the unwelcome imposition of democracy on Muslims wherever they reside.
