David Farrer I don't think our binmen have been since before Christmas. Normally they're here Monday and Thursday.
I took a bus out the the Gyle Centre on Thursday and it's just like you describe as soon as one leaves central Edinburgh.

Subrosa Very similar here and has been that way for over two weeks now. All side roads and pavements are lethal as the council is closed until Tuesday.
