Not quite 007

This one shows a police presence outside the Russian Consulate in Melville Street.

Several times a week I am in Charlotte Square and at lunchtime today I saw an unusual sight: two police officers guarding Number 6, the official residence of the First Minister. I had a chat and was told that trouble wasn't expected except possibly on Monday when the anti-capitalist anarchists (so-called) are due to do their stuff. The policeman said that they were ready for any eventuality and, more importantly, welcomed all the overtime.

(UPDATE: I've discovered that the new Blogger uploading system allows one to click on the photographs and enlarge them.)
